The vatican is at it...again

So once again the pope (or at least his representatives) has opened his mouth, and as per usual nothing but nonsense came out.  At least this time no one should die...

So guess what the pope is pissed about now...a movie.  And not even a Da Vinci code, "the church is evil" kinda movie.  Rather, he's mad about Avatar, an animated film with an underlying environmental theme.  His problem - apparently the movie treats nature as a little too spiritual for his liking.  Instead of treating nature as a gift from the magical sky fairy - something for us to use or destroy as we wish - "avatar" instead treated nature as something delicate, something to be protected.

Yep, that's a bad thing according to el pope-o.  Leads to "neo-paganism", which I think is priest-speak for "giving a shit about something other than filling the churches pews coffers".
